Making Cranberry Sauce - FAS M/W/F AM

In light of Thanksgiving, we made Cranberry Sauce in class to share with the family.

Here are the step-by-step instructions for our cranberry sauce:

First, we measured 2 cups of sugar. We melted the sugar and 2 cups of water in a pot.

We waited for the sugar and water to melt and boil.

Then, we added 6 cups of cranberries into the pot.

We then needed to wait patiently until we heard the cranberries “popping” in the pot.

We then mashed the cranberries. Thereafter, we turned off the stove and let the sauce cool.

As it was cooling, we juiced an orange to add some citrus flavour to our sauce. We learned that we first needed to cut the orange in half. Then, we used the orange juicer to extract the juice. We needed to push and turn the orange until we got all the juice out.

Added the juice to the cranberry sauce.

Voilà! Delicious Cranberry Sauce ready for the special day.

We hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving Day!
